Lottery Odds Calculator for Multi-Number Games
Common questions asked by any lottery player are: "What are the odds of hitting the jackpot of a Lotto, Cash 5, Powerball, Mega Millions, Hot Lotto,
Fantasy 5, or any other multi-number game?"; "What about lower prizes, say, 5-of-6, 4-of-5 plus Mega ball, etc.?
Or, the question may be posed as "what is the probability of winning a lottery game?"
Since probability of winning and odds are reciprocals of each other, the answers, given
in numerical form, are essentially the same, it is only a matter of interchanging numerator and denominator.
If, for instance, the odds of a certain game are 1 in 100, then the probability of winning that game
is nothing else but 1/100 or 0.01.
We have supplied you here with two odds calculators: one for games with one set of numbers to select from,
and the other for games with two sets of numbers to select from. The first type of games are denoted
by n/N, and the later by n/N + m/M.

n = How many numbers the player selects.
N = The maximum value of the numbers in the set.
For example, the Classic Lotto game is played by selecting 6 numbers from 1 to 49.
Thus, n = 6 and N = 49; this game is denoted by 6/49.

Enter the values of n, N, and M and then submit.
|
n = How many regular numbers the player selects (from the first set).
N = The maximum value of the numbers in the first set.
m = 1 (How many extra numbers the player selects from the second set).
M = The maximum value of the numbers in the second set.
For example, the Powerball game is played by selecting 5 numbers from 1 to 59 from
the first set and 1 number from 1 to 39 from the second set. Thus, n = 5, N = 59,
m = 1, and M = 39; this game is denoted by 5/59 + 1/39.
